The building in the centre of the Square houses the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, so it's perfect place to soak up some culture while you're in the city.
A fun bit of trivia for you: at the Queen Street entrance of the Gallery is a statue of the Duke of Wellington - which usually has a cone placed on his head. This was originally a prank that was started by kids but has now become a symbol of Glaswegian humour. The public are very much encouraged to leave the cone in place so as not to disappoint tourists!
